Abducted by Monoliths

The Glowing Rectangle

On Jan 27 1977, a young Kentucky man was abducted by three of the strangest UFO entities yet reported. 19-yr-old Lee Parish was driving home at 1am that morning from visiting his girlfriend when he saw a brightly lit UFO hovering overhead. The object was 40 feet long and rectangular in shape. It radiated an intense red glow so bright that Parish was unable to look directly at it.

The jeep stalled and came to a halt directly beneath the UFO. Then it sped silently away and Parish resumed his journey. He arrived home half-an-hour later than expected and noticed that his eyes were sore and bloodshot. He later underwent hypnotic regression to explore the period of missing time.

In the White Room

Under hypnosis, Parish recalled that his jeep had been lifted into the air by the UFO. His next memory was of standing inside a circular chamber with glowing white walls. The chamber was occupied by three slab-like entities. One was black, one red, and one white.

The black entity was 20 feet tall. It was shaped like a giant suitcase with a semicircular head and a single unjointed arm. The red entity was 6 feet tall with a square head and a single unjointed arm (it reminded Parish of a coke machine). The white entity - which Parish sensed was the leader - was also 6 feet tall. It had a curved "blocky" body that glowed from within, with two arms and a square head.

The black and red entities approached Parish and touched his head, back and shoulders with their arms. Their touch felt cold and stinging. The white entity simply stood and observed the procedure. Then the trio merged into one other with a sound "like sandpapering" and vanished. Parish suddenly found himself back in his jeep and on the road again.

He drove home without further incident, but the next morning the jeep's electrical systems failed. Parish apparently believed that the entities would contact him again. However, he reported no subsequent encounters.
