The Electric Goblins

The Wild Woods

On the morning of November 24 1978, a 61-yr-old Italian was assaulted by a pair of levitating goblins.

Angelo D'Ambros was busy gathering firewood in woods near Gallio when he noticed two bizarre entities hovering beside him. One was four feet tall, the other a little shorter.

Both had "extremely thin" bodies with oversized "pear-shaped" heads and "enormous ears that rose straight up and ended in a point". Their skin was "yellowish" and they wore "dark, very closely fitting overalls."

The creatures had large white sunken eyes, long pointed noses, and a pair of small "tusks" protruding from the corners of their mouths. Their hands and feet were disproportionately large and featured "extremely long" fingers and toes.

A Shock to the System

The smaller entity circled D'Ambros, chattering unintelligibly, while the other tried to grab his machete. The Italian desperately hung on to his knife and twice felt an electric shock pass up his arm.

He snatched up one of the branches he had collected and counter attacked. The goblins hastily retreated, and the enraged D'Ambros gave chase.

The entities scurried into a clearing and boarded a metallic disc-shaped craft. D'Ambros arrived just in time to see a spindly arm closing a trapdoor in the dome. Then the 12-ft-wide disc shot up into the air with a burst of red flame and sped silently away.
